My favorite place to be is out in the wild, exploring down a forest path or hiking down a winding river… but my second favorite place to be is cozied up in the art room with a (forgotten) cup of tea and documentary playing in the background. Don’t be fooled by the chaotic spread of art supplies — the studio is my refuge from the world, a quiet and reflective place of zen. A place where I can process my thoughts at a slower place and contemplate the world around me.
A lot of what I do is experimental, such as blending new mediums to see what effects I can achieve, or playing with colours. Every once in awhile, there is a “happy little accident” that results in a work that I am truly proud of.
Please enjoy these photographs of my process!

Hey, it's me!

A sculpture in progress! He doesn't look very happy about not having arms yet.

This is my boss, Zeppie. She is a micromanager and likes to investigate everything I am doing in her studio.

I happen to share my studio space with a drag queen -- it can get crowded in here.

That feeling of wrapping up a painting so it's ready to go to it's new home!! :)

My biggest piece yet, still in progress!

My supervisor in action!
